Kathrine's Fate - Chapter Twenty-Six

Kathrine lost track of how long she's been there in the dungeon. She's been starved almost to death but fed just enough to barely keep her alive. They cut Kathrine's hair off and stripped her of her clothes, leaving her in dirty rags.

Kristen summons the executioner. "Now take no mercy on her, no matter how much she begs. I want her to suffer in great pain, but do not kill her yet! I want her to be executed in front of the whole kingdom." Kristen tells the executioner. "No worries, my queen. I will make her suffer greatly." the executioner replies with satisfaction.

The executioner heads to the dungeon where Kathrine's being held. "It's time to face your fate. You will wish for a fast death." the executioner tells her as he laughs. Kathrine gets up from the bench and walks over to the gate. "I do not care what you do to me. I would do it all over again. I wish I would have killed her." Kathrine huffed at him.

Kathrine walks into the torture chamber for the second time. She stares at the skeleton hanging in the cage and begins to realize that her fate would be to die a horrible death.

He heats up the poker and begins to burn her with it. Kathrine stands, screaming in agony, but takes each burn.

The executioner forces Kathrine to sit on the torture table. Kathrine looks over at the executioner as he runs his hands over many devices he has laid out on the table.

He chooses his next punishment as he walks over to Katherine, that is watching his every move. He opens a vial of liquid that smells of death, as he rotates it around in his hand. "It's a lovely smell," he says. He straps her down to where she can't move. She tries to free herself but has barely any room to breathe. He tips the vial till a small drop hits her face. It starts to sizzle and burn as Kathrine lets out a scream. Tears run down her face as she fights against her restraints. He continues at an agonizing pace while Kathrine begs for him to release her. Kathrine mumbles as he walks over to place the vial on the table. He then walks back to the table he has her strapped down on. He releases the locks on the wheels and starts to pull her arms and legs that are strapped to a wooden bar. He stretches her till she starts to scream once again as she fights against the restraints. He continues for hours till she passes out.

When Kathrine comes to, her whole body hurts. The pain is unbearable with every move she makes. Kathrine finally breaks down and starts to cry.

He laughs at her and continues until she passes out on the ground.

He drags her back into her cell for now until she wakes up.

Later that night, when she comes to, the executioner brings her out of her cell. Kathrine crumbles in fear at the sight of him. "Kristen wants to speak to you. Wait right here," he tells her.

Kristen walks over to Katherine, who has seen better days. Kristen smiles at her pain for a brief moment before approaching her. "I will make a deal with you. Tell me how to get rid of the curse, and I will let you live." Kathrine says nothing but looks at Kristen with no sympathy. "What do I do to remove this?" Kristen says firmly. "I know you know, and you are refusing to tell me!" Kristen screams at her.

Kristen, now in a fit of rage, screams at Kathrine in hopes that she will be frightened and tell her. Kathrine, realizing that she has been defeated, cowers back in fear. "I no longer have the book of spells. You burned it when you set fire to the house." Kathrine told Kristen. "Well then, I have no use for you. You shall die for all to see, Kristen told her.

Kristen, and everyone from the court, were there to watch her fall. Kristen orders the executioner to put Kathrine to death and be rid of her for good. "I want her beheaded. I want to make sure she's dead this time." Kristen demands. With the other guards, the executioner walks Katherine to the stand with a blood-stained rock where others have lost their heads.

The crowd that has gathered starts to yell and throw things at Kathrine, hitting her right in the face.

The executioner prepared to swing the ax as Kathrine began to plead for her life."Wait! Kristen yells out. "This is too easy of a death for her. Bring the blade of death. It will be much more painful for you. I have no pity for her and wish her to die a most excruciating death." Kristen told him. "As you wish, my queen," he replied.

"Place your head into the hole, you witch!" he demanded Kathrine. She bent over slowly and placed her head into the hole, hoping to end her pain and suffering quickly.

He pulled the rope and released the blade. The rusty and jagged blade fell, slicing into her neck. Kathrine screamed as she clawed at the metal blade in the back of her neck. He pulled the rope, and the blade came out of Katherine's neck. More screams came from Kathrine as the blade fell once again, cutting into her neck further. He continued till the blade cut completely through Katherine's neck, severing her head from her body. Her body fell limp as her head fell into the metal bucket.

He placed the stone back on the platform and removed her body. He then placed her head on the stone for everyone to see. This was a warning to all that Kristen could be cruel if you crossed her.

Castaway Chapter Sixteen - A Diffrent World

Haley sat at the table while everyone was getting ready to leave.
"I wonder what the new world will be like." Haley thought to herself.

Brad heads to the plane to get it ready for departure. Everyone decided that they wanted to return to the normal world for Haley's future.

Everyone gathers on the hill to board the plane. Brad told them he would get them when the plane was ready for take off.

"I can't believe were going to fly in this." Haley tells her mom.
"I can't believe it either, Haley! I have only seen a plane once before now, when I was about your age actually. I'm sure you are going to love this new place we're going." Megan replied.
"Oh wait mommy! I forgot something. I need to get it before we go!" Haley told Megan as she ran down the hill.
"I will go with her and we will be back in a moment." Jordon said as he headed off behind her.

The rest waited on Haley and Jordon to return.

"I hope we're doing the right thing. She's so happy here on the island. I wonder if she will like it?" Jasmin asked Kevin.
"I'm sure she will be happy.  We can give her much more there." Kevin replied.

Jordon ran after Haley down the hill.
"Will you wait up! I will help you find your toy." Jordon called out to Haley.

Brad was almost done with the plane, when he noticed a spark coming out of a panel on the plane. A fire began and spread through the controls.
Brad managed to get out and ran to warn everyone, when...

The whole plane exploded! It was a massive explosion that shook the whole island.

Brian went flying into the air.

Megan was blown off her feet.

Jasmin was tossed in the air like a rag doll. The rest of the group was tossed with them.

The blast was so loud, that it startled Haley and Jordon.

"Oh no! What happened!?" Haley screamed.
The smoke rose over the hill side and turned the sky overhead black.
"I'm not sure, but it's not good!" Jordon exclaimed.

"Stay here! I will go and find out what happened. Do not come up the hill, Haley! I beg of you in case it's bad. Promise me! I do not want you to see anything bad." Jordon instructed Haley.

"I will stay!" Haley told Jordon while she choked back the tears in her eyes.

Jordon ran up the hill, and through the smoke, desperately hoping that everyone was alright.

As he topped the hill, the smoke was so thick, he could barely see anything around him. He called out to everyone. The only sound he heard was the fire crackling. No one answered him.

The smoke cleared a bit as he got closer to the ground.

That's when he first saw his father. Jordon was shocked by what he saw. Brad was laying in a pile of rubble. He wasn't moving and was bleeding badly.

As he looked around, he saw Jasmin and Kevin laying motionless on the ground, with no signs of life. Panic began to set in as Jordon took in the horrible scene.

Beside Jasmin and Kevin laid Megan and Brian. They too were not moving.

He checked everyone for any sign of life, but no one had survived the blast. It was too late. They were all killed by the blast.

The hut on the hill caught fire from the blast and burned to the ground. Jordon could not get it put out.

Jordon, now overwhelmed with shock, dropped his head down and began to cry.

"My dad is dead and now I have no one! How in the world am I going to tell Haley that her whole family is dead, and we are now alone here on the island!?" Jordon thought to himself, starting to panic.

Jordon came down off the hill to meet with Haley, who was still waiting for him.
"What happened!? Wheres everyone at!?" Haley asked Jordon. Jordon, now in tears, broke the news to her.
"It looks like the plane blew up. No one made it." Jordon told her as he sobbed.

Haley couldn't believe what he was telling her.

"I want to see for myself! I want my family! I don't believe you!" Haley shouted at Jordon as she tried to run up the hill.
Jordon managed to stop her and convinced her to go to return to the hut.
"I need you to stay here Haley! You can't see them like this. Promise me you will stay!" Jordon said firmly.
She couldn't speak, but nodded her head and began to cry.

Jordon dug their graves and put them each into a hole. After most of it was done, and the bodies were covered, he let Haley come up.
He finished covering all of the graves.

When he had finished, he broke down and cried over his father's grave.

"What am I going to do now?! Why did this happen!?" Jordon asked his father's grave.

Later that night, Haley went to her mother's grave.
She stayed there and cried most of the night.

Jordon finally had to go get Haley.
"It will be ok. We will get through this together. You're not alone." Jordon consoled her.

They both sat down in the graveyard that had once been a beautiful fishing spot.

Search Continues for James - Chapter Twenty-Five

"Now that we have Kathrine in our prison, we must find James fast. We will have to search every house until we find him." William instructed everyone.

While everyone was searching for James, he was all alone and growing very weak. He tried to get the door open but could not reach the handle.

He could not open the windows and was running out of time.

A local lady from town was walking by and heard a child crying. It was not a typical cry.

She stood outside the door for a moment to listen to the child's cries. It appeared that the child was in distress, and no one was helping.

James fell to the floor. He was hungry and exhausted.

The woman decided to open the door and have a quick look inside to make sure everything was alright. To her horror, she found a child lying on the floor. He was no longer responding and seemed lifeless.

She bent down to see if she could wake the child. She fears she may be too late. He looks very pale and is not moving at all. She reached down to touch him.

To her surprise, he wakes up! He is frail, and she quickly recognizes him when he opens his eyes, and they are red. "Oh my! You are little, James. Everyone has been looking for you, little one! You are safe now." the lady tells James as she scoops him up from the floor.

The lady took him from the house and headed toward the castle as fast as she could.

Everyone was still searching all the houses one by one. The executioner came upon the house, and no one answered the door. So they entered to search.

"Your son was here at one time. I don't see any sign of him now. She must have moved him to another location." the executioner tells William. "I can't believe he was here. Where could she have taken him!? William asks the executioner. "I feel like we're running out of time," Robert says with a sad, bothered look. "We must continue. We will not give up!" William orders.

The executioner heads down into the dungeon to try to, once again, get information out of Kathrine. In a deep and scruff voice, he says, "One last time, where is Prince James? If you do not tell me, I will make sure your death is long and painful." His voice is calm and creepy, and she knows he speaks the truth. "I will never tell you! I hope he dies and it destroys Kristen and her whole family! I want the Kingdom of Winchester to fall!" Kathrine screams back at the executioner. "So be it. It's your fate," he told her as he left the dungeon.

William finds Kristen in the throne room. "Have you found my baby?" she asks. "My love, we are still searching every house in the kingdom and now heading to the houses around the woods," William tells her.

Kristen puts her face into her hands and sobs. "Kristen, please do not cry. All hope is not lost. I didn't want to tell you yet, but we think we found where James was once held captive when searching the houses. He's not there now, but I think we are close." William tries to console Kristen.

Kristen had to be alone. She was falling apart, and everyone's eyes were on her. She heads to her chambers to get herself under control when one of her maids stops her to tell her the news that a lady from the village found James and was with him waiting in the throne room. Kristen took off down the corridor in the direction of the throne room.

As she turned the corner, she saw a lady holding James. Everyone fills the throne room to see little James's return. "I can't believe my eyes! You have brought my baby back! Where did you find him?" Kristen asks, even though she is out of breath. "I was walking by this house and heard him crying. I couldn't resist and decided to check it out. That's when I found him." the lady replies and hands James over to Kristen.

Kristen takes James into her arms and hugs him tight. "Oh, how I have missed you, my sweet prince! Mommy was so worried about you. I had everyone looking for you! Are you Ok?" Kristen asks James. "I'm very tired and hungry. The woman was very mean to me. She left and never came back!" James tells her. "We have her in the dungeon, and she will never hurt you again," Kristen promises.

Kristen handed James to Lara and gave the lady a big hug.

"I am forever in your debt! You have returned what was most dear to me. This I will never forget! Come live here at the castle, and you will never want for anything." Kristen offers the lady. "I'm most glad that I was able to save little James. I would love to come live at the castle, but I have a family of my own, and we enjoy living in the village." the lady replies. "If you are ever in need of anything, do not hesitate to ask," Kristen tells her before returning her attention to her son.

Lara feeds James and makes sure he is full before preparing a bath to clean him up. James plays in the water and, once again, feels safe and happy.
