Kristen's Mistake - Chapter Fourteen

Paul was heading back to the stables to put up the horses when the queen's cousin, Margret, approached him.

Margret began to flirt with Paul when the queen walked up. Kristen was very mad when she realized what Margret was trying to do. "I did not do it, my queen!" Paul pleaded.

Paul backed away and dropped his head. "You infuriate me to no end! I can't believe you are trying to take everything that belongs to me! Paul is not available to you either. Do you not pay any attention, girl!" the queen screamed.

Margret stormed off and headed toward the castle. "She thinks she owns the world! I wonder what my mother, Queen Mary, would think of her now?"

As she entered the corridor, she ran right into William. "What's wrong, Margret?" William asked her. "Oh, just your stupid queen again. She thinks she owns everyone in this kingdom, especially all its men!" Margret huffed.

Meanwhile, Kristen headed to the castle's dungeon and ordered the henchman to place her cousin Margret in the dungeon cell. "She's to remain there until I order otherwise," she told him.
"As you wish, your majesty," he replied.

The queen then headed to her chambers and decided to take a nap before nightfall.

While the queen slept, everyone else continued on with their duties.

William heard that Margret had been arrested and placed in the dungeon, so he headed down to see her and make sure she was alright.

Margret came to the cell door. "I'm ok, but this is so ridiculous! What is she going to do with me now?! Eat me or behead me like that other girl." She sobbed at William.

When the queen woke from her nap, William headed to meet with her and beg her to forgive her cousin and set her free. "I think she has learned her lesson, my love. Queen Mary might retaliate against you if she heard of this. Please, just set her free!" William pleaded with Kristen.

"I'm not going to hurt her, William. I only did it to remind her that this is my kingdom and if she wants to remain here and live, she best mind me." Kristen explained to William. "I will make arrangements for her release this evening." Kristen smiled and then kissed him.

Kristen headed to the dungeon to speak with the henchmen. "Release her and bring her to me in my garden." the queen commanded. "With haste, your majesty," he replied.

Margret met with the queen in her garden as she was told. "I see that you are well, my cousin. I see that we now understand each other. I offer a gift to you. I have someone I would like you to meet," the queen explained to Margret.

"Let me introduce to you a good friend of mine, Robert. Let us all be good friends and be merry." Kristen told them before she left back into the castle out of the sun.

Margret and Robert hit it off pretty well. They seemed to get along. Margret was now seeing the queen in a different light. Maybe she's not so bad after all, just misunderstood with everything she has been through.

"Can I see you again, Margret?" Robert asked her. "I would really like that," she replied. This made her happy and made staying in the dungeon for a week seem not so bad in hindsight.

Kristen headed to her chambers to get something when one of the ladies caught Kristen off guard. This scared Kristen, and reacting out of instinct, she attacked her.

Without realizing what she's doing, Kristen grabs the lady's arm and rips into her skin. When Kristen came to her senses, she realized what she was doing. She immediately stepped back and released her servant.

The lady began to stagger around the room and then fell to the floor.

Kristen wasn't aware that she had torn into the vein too deep and drank too much. The lady fell to the floor, and a pool of blood rushed out of her wound. She called for her physician, but it was too late.

Realizing that the girl was dead, she called for her henchmen to fetch the body from her room and take her to the dungeon.

He placed her on the ground, and the straw gathered her blood. He waited for the queen to arrive to tell him what to do with her.

"What shall I do with her, your majesty?"  the henchman asks.
"When it becomes dark outside, I will signal you to bring her out into the open. Bury her in a grave that is already marked. Dig just far enough down to place her on the other coffin, then cover it up again. No one is to know about this, or it will be your head!" the queen demanded.

Kristen Wrath - Chapter Thirteen

"Today will be the most fun, my love," William told Kristen in kind words. "I'm so lucky to have you by my side," the queen responded and smiled at him. "Let us go and join everyone. I will meet you at the jousting area."

Kristen meets up with William in the field shortly after they leave her chambers. The stablemen were preparing the horses for the jousting match. Kristen loved being around the horses.

The competition began, and it was a success. Everyone was having fun and rejoiced in the winners of the bout. There were a few injuries, but nothing bothered the men.

After the competition, Kristen and William talked to the champion.
"You are very impressive! I do enjoy your victories! I hope to see more." the queen boasted to the man.

After everyone was gone, the queen took her usual walk in the garden. She began to get thirsty and wanted some fresh blood. She had been days without any, and the thirst was very intense.

She retreated to her chambers to try to get herself under control. She had to figure out who she was going to choose. She didn't like biting William on a regular basis, and she hated to ask her closest friends and servants. She always feared she would go too far and kill them. Then Kristen remembered the girl from the previous day that refused her. The way the girl addressed her made her furious. Who refuses a queen's request?

Set on a mission, Kristen headed down into the dungeon to meet with her henchman. "I want you to go and find this girl named Lisa at the previous jousting event that offended me," Kristen fumed at her henchman. "I will find her and bring her back to the dungeon for your majesty," he replied.

The henchman wasted no time in locating Lisa. She was placed in a cell to await the queen's orders, which would decide her fate.

"The queen has demanded that you be held here for punishment for treason against her majesty," the henchman told her. "I did not commit treason! I just refused to let her bite me!" Lisa pleaded.
"That is considered treason in this kingdom, and you also offended the queen with words."

Lisa was placed in the cell, where she yelled and screamed for them to let her go.

"What's going to happen to me?" she thought. She dreaded seeing the queen again and what she might due to her. Deep down, she already knew her fate.

The henchman brought Lisa to the main chamber of the dungeon. "You must remain here until the queen arrives. She will tell you what she has planned for you," he told her.

The queen emerged from the steps of the dungeon. She entered the room and headed over to Lisa and the henchman. "I told you not to refuse me and that you would pay," the queen hissed at her.

"I will never submit to you. You can do whatever you want to me, but I will never agree to your ridiculous request." Kristen then grabbed Lisa's arm, bit her hard, and drained quite a bit of blood. Lisa screamed with pain as Kristen tore through her skin with her teeth.

Lisa was then placed back into the cell, where she was so weak from all the blood that Kristen had forcefully taken. She found herself tired and quickly drifted into a deep sleep.

After a week, Kristen's anger subsided, and she felt sorry for Lisa." Take her to my personal lady, and she will tell her what she has to do to keep her freedom," the queen told the henchman.  "I will do as you command, my queen," he replied and bowed.

Lisa was taken to Kristen's lady, where she was told that she was to be a new servant of the queens. She had to work in the castle and do whatever the queen asked her. "You must never run or leave," the lady told her. This was to be her punishment.

Lisa was mad and upset. "I will not live here and serve that witch!" Lisa thought.

So when she thought no one would see her, she tried to run away. She took off and ran as fast as possible to escape. Unfortunately, she would not get very far before the henchman would catch up with her.

"The queen gave you a second chance at life, and you refused her wishes once again. She has given me orders to put you to death," the henchman told Lisa.

"This will be fast and quick. You will feel no pain as long as you do what I say," he explained. "I need you to lean over and lay your head in the grove of the stone."Lisa leaned over, slowly placed her head in the grove, and grabbed the sides of the stone tightly. She braced herself for the blow of the sword. A thousand thoughts ran through her head as her life flashed before her eyes.

He struck fast and strong. Her head came off upon the first strike, rolling a few feet from the stone. Lisa's body fell to the side as he picked it up and placed it on the stone for the queen to view.

This would be an example to the whole kingdom and world that no one would cross the queen and live to tell about it.

Kristen's Thirst - Chapter Twelve

Kristen enjoys her new life as a queen. She's happy with her love, William, by her side and the devotion of her people. Life seems almost normal.

One cloudy day in the shade, Kristen and William enjoyed watching the jousting competitions.

Everyone seemed to be having fun, and the sun didn't bother Kristen much since she was in her royal stand, but it made her a little hot and thirsty.

It wasn't nothing for Kristen to go to anyone to get a drink. Everyone was used to it. She didn't hurt anyone and never drank too much. So Kristen heads over to a girl named Lisa. She's not a regular at court, but that didn't stop Kristen from approaching the girl. "I'm feeling a little parched. I need you to let me bite you and get some blood." This caught Lisa off guard since she didn't know much about Kristen's curse. Lisa jumped back and yelled at Kristen.

Lisa gave the queen an evil look. "I'm not going to let you bite me, queen, or not!" she exclaimed.

"Who do you think you are in my kingdom? I never hurt anyone, but when I want something, I will get it. How dare you refuse me!"

This infuriated the queen. She started to hiss and bare her fangs at Lisa and was ready to attack when William ran over to Kristen before she lost control. He persuaded Kristen to come inside the castle with him.

"Please be the kind and loving queen that I love. I know she meant no harm. Not everyone knows about you like we do," he explained to her.

Kristen smiled at him. "See, this is why I love you, William. You know and accept me for who I am. You are always in my heart."

William lifts Kristen into his arms, and they head to the bed to spend some alone time together.

As William drifted off to sleep, Kristen continued to lay there hungry. She couldn't sleep and had to get up.

A weak and hungry Kristen heads down the castle corridor to find someone she can drink from.

It just so happened that Paul was down in the kitchen, getting a late-night snack.

"Paul, please come outside with me. I need you!" Kristen gently sank her teeth into Paul's arm and took only what was needed to take the pain away. Paul didn't seem to mind. He was still quite taken with Kristen. He knew this would please her. After Kristen was finished, she headed to bed before William woke up.

She gently climbed into bed, and William was exactly how she had left him. He never even knew she was gone.

While Kristen was still asleep, her lady tracks down the girl Lisa, that offended the queen yesterday at the jousting event. "Oh my, you have got yourself into a lot of trouble. The queen was ready to kill you until William calmed her down."

"What do you mean? I have done nothing wrong. Oh, wait! You mean by me not letting that queen of yours bite me. I take offense to that myself. I will never let her do that to me. She's a monster."

"I have warned you. She has this curse and has to survive on human blood, and you refused her. This is the first time anyone has ever done that. She's always gotten her way. We all do what she asks, and she treats us well in return. She has quite a temper. I would leave the court as soon as possible."

William knew Kristen craved blood and had to bite others to get what she needed to stay alive. This was the price of the curse. This saddened him every time she had to bite someone. He loved and feared her at the same time. He would do nothing to anger the queen. William didn't want to lose the queen's love for him.

"William, I can sense something is wrong. I can read your mind. You are my only true love. I will always be with you. Don't worry about this curse. I will never hurt anyone."

Kristen embraces William and kisses him. She felt his worries melt away.

This was very enticing for Kristen to hear. William pledged his undying love to her. She gently bit his neck and drank a small amount of his blood. She knew she would never find anyone else that she preferred more.
