Honeymoon - Chapter Fifty Four

Dimitri even let me drive, which was a rare thing. I still didn't have much experience with driving, but I was catching on pretty quick. Dimitri has always been patient when it comes to me and I love him for it.

We arrive at the main hotel on the mainlands. It's the perfect season to explore all the sites that held the history of China.  

We begin our day in the main square that has several local shops that have souvenirs and food that will make your mouth water. 

As we walk down the street, Dimitri stops, taking me off guard. He pulls me into his arms. Placing a kiss on my forehead, my heart melts. 

Dimitri puts his arm around my shoulders as we start walking to one of the special shops that are famous for their sweet cakes. 

We take a seat at one of the tables located outside the shop so we can enjoy the scenery and the good weather. We order some tea as we wait for the cakes. 

"So, what do you want to see today?" Dimitri asks me. 

"I'm not sure. I'm not familiar with the area like you are. You pick," I tell him. 

"There is a place that I loved to explore and play when I was younger. It is close to where I did my training," he tells me. 

I'm excited at the thought of seeing some of the familiar places that Dimitri got to see when growing up. The thought has me all excited. We finish out cakes as we take in the scenery that is breathtaking. 

"Before we go, I have something special planned for you," Dimitri tells me. 

"So are you going to enlighten me on where we are going?" I ask. "Now that would ruin the surprise. You will see when we get there," he says as he takes me by the hand and starts walking. 

To my surprise, we arrive at a spa that he made reservations. We get changed and head to the sauna that has been specially set up for me. 

"This is nice. I'll be ready to explore anything after this," I tell Dimitri. "That is exactly one reason I wanted to start here first. I have several things planned for us as long as you are up for it. I just want to make sure that you take care of your body and that I don't exhaust you too much," he says. 

"Thank you for spoiling me. I don't deserve you," I tell him as he pulls me into his arms. "I'm the one that doesn't deserve you. I plan on spoiling you and this baby for the rest of my life," he says as he places a kiss on my lips. 

"Why don't you go over and check out the whirlpool. It will relax any sour place you have," he says as he lets me go to point over at the tub that I didn't even notice when we came in. 

I get in and it's so relaxing. I let the bubbles relax me as the warmth seeps into my muscles. 

When we get done, we head out to the pool area that overlooks the ocean. The scene is breathtaking. 

I still don't know how I got so lucky to have Dimitri all to myself. I thought I lost him, and now we are living the dream I had when I was a teenager. If anyone had asked me a few years ago how I saw my life in the future, I wouldn't have ever imagined this. 

We head over to a set of lounge chairs that is out of the sun. After being in the sauna for a little bit, my body craved the cool gentle breeze. 

Sitting by the pool, me and Dimitri relax and talk as we sip on our fruity drinks that he ordered. I could get used to a life like this.

 

We get dressed and head to the first spot that Dimitri told me about earlier. I was excited to see where he spent some of his free time away from training. 

"This is one of the spots me and Chris played at when we were away from training. We often fished in the pond and hid from our instructor when he would try to punish us for goofing off in training," Dimitri explains as I try to picture Dimitri and Chris as small children. 

Beside the pond is a small firepit. Dimitri gathers a few broken tree limbs and tosses them into the firepit. He then lights it to break the chill of the evening that is approaching. 

Dimitri grabs my hands and pulls me into his arms. He gives me a sweet kiss, then lets me go. 

Out of nowhere, it starts to rain. "Follow me," he says as he heads toward a building that I didn't notice before. 

"This is one of the local storage buildings they keep hay in for the farm animals they keep here. We can hide in here till it stops raining," Dimitri says as he runs toward the door. 

Me and Chris use to play in here. There is a secret door that leads to a hidden room downstairs," Dimitri tells me as he heads around a tall stack of hay. 

To my utter surprise, there was a set of steps that leads down to another room. I follow Dimitri down the steps that open up to a small room. 

"The locals keep their wine stored here. Not many people know about this. It was Chris and me that found this while hiding from our master. The wine is really good," Dimitri tells me as he walks over to a stack of barrels. "Let me guess, you and Chris sampled the wine on a regular basis," I ask as I grin at him. "I wouldn't say often, but there were a few times we got drunk," Dimitri replies. Dimitri takes me by the hand and leads me back upstairs. 

When the rain stops, Dimitri gets our fishing poles out of the car. Handing me my pole, I try my best to cast it without making any mistakes. I have only fished a few times in my life, so fishing was still a challenge.

Dimitri, as always, looks like a pro when it comes to anything we do. He has trained and worked hard all his life, unlike mine that was all about being royal and a successor to the throne. I like this life better than the one that was laid out before me. Distant relatives took over the role of ruling the kingdom, and I couldn't be happier about it. My sister has plans of taking over when we find a cure for her. Nolan, the wizard, has already been working on a cure since she came back into my life. 

We get done fishing and decide to head back to our room. 

When we get back to the hotel, Dimitri takes a quick shower. He comes back into the room wearing only a pair of PJ bottoms. My mouth goes dry at the very sight of him. 

"Shower is all ready for you. I've got a few things to do before I devour you," he says as my mouth hits the floor. "D E V O U R E me? Really?" I say with amusement. "Yes, devour every inch of your body. So hurry up and take a shower," Dimitri says with a smirk.

When I get done, I put on this cute little nightie that I bought just for Dimitri. Stepping out of the bathroom, Dimitri doesn't take long to come across the room to meet me. "OHH" is all he says as he looks at me from head to toe. 

I smile as I watch his reaction. He pulls me into his arms and starts to kiss me with his desire that lets me know that he wants me. 

Breaking free from his lips, I gasp for air. Dimitri smiles at me as his hands slide down my back to rest on my lower back. 

I run my fingers along his arm as I watch his eyes grow darker, never looking away from me. 

In a quick move, Dimitri spins me around as if we were dancing. He graceful as he spins me as if we were dancing. 

He captures my lips as I fall into his arms. This man has my heart and soul as he pours his feelings into the kiss that has me held hostage. 

No matter how many times we have been together, his touch always has me ignited with passion. He scoops me up into his arms as he walks over to the bed. 

Gently he places me down, then scoots next to me. "I love you with all my heart," he says as he scoots closer to me. 

His skin is warm against mine as he takes me into his arms. "Now I'm going to make love to my wife," he whispers seductively into my ear. Chills run down my skin as my body heats up with passion as he runs his fingers over my body. 

Dimitri pulls me closer, and his lips find mine. He's so gentle and sweet with his kisses. 

His kiss is intoxicating, and I'm lost in his world. He pulls back, glaring down at me as I gasp for air.

He spins around, pinning me to the bed as his lips find mine with a hunger that I love. 

He pulls back, looking down at me with those sexy eyes of his. "It's going to be a long night. I hope you're up for it," he tells me with a wicked grin. 

Exhausted from making love for what seemed like half the night, we settle in under the covers as we hold each other tight. "Tomorrow, I plan to show you all the places that are hidden here in China," he says as he lets out a satisfied sigh. "I can't wait," I reply before closing my eyes.
